Baltic Id consulting for corporate sustainability reporting directive application

The Baltic Id team has been involved in the development of corporate sustainability policy and consulting with its constituent influencers for the past ten years. We are ready to share knowledge on the application of European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

The time has come when large and listed companies and those listed on the EU market (including those from third countries) will have to report in line with this comprehensive set of disclosure standards, which covers 10 sustainability topics on environment, social activities and governance.

The final text confirms the changes introduced by the EU Commission to EFRAG's 2022 technical recommendation, including a more prominent role of the significance assessment in determining companies' disclosures, and ESRS2 is the only mandatory standard.

According to the CSRD, investors will be provided with sustainability reports of companies prepared on the basis of these standards. Reporting requirements will be introduced gradually, starting with such large financial institutions and companies whose transferable securities are admitted to trading on the regulated market of the Member States of the European Union.

The European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), their delegated act and the European Commission's press release can be found here: Register of Commission Delegated Acts.
